XPlanner

Planning and tracking tool for agile teams following XP or Scrum

Look and Feel Face Lifting Print

Here are the current ideas on how to rejuvenate xplanner looks

Page structure

View/Action Links

The current links at the end of each page would be changed to:

  1. tabs for different facets of the same entity (iteration: stories, tasks, accuracy, metrics, history...)
  2. action links for the element (iteration: start/stop, delete, move)
  3. table element actions (add, remove, move)

Tables

  1. Tables would get a multi-selection actions so we can apply the same action on multiple elements. Either a more desktop client selection or a webbish select input on each line would do the trick
  2. Inline editing will be made to be triggered on double click and would not resize columns
  3. Tables would have a configurable layout stored persistently (either cookie or user config in db)
  4. A new style sheet would compact the display and would allow more space for the most important columns.
  5. Table actions would use icons as much as possible
